The IT Services and Rail Engineering have successfully gained Investors in People (IiP) and were presented with their award at Hillsborough Castle on 9th April.
To become a recognized Investor in People, organisations must demonstrate that they have aligned the skills development of their people with the achievement of business objectives.
IT Services and Rail Engineering join Bus Engineering, Marketing, Infrastructure, Human Resources, Ulsterbus Tours and Parcellink who have each achieved the significant IiP recognition.
Translink’s Training and Development manager Donald Connolly says ‘Our staff are our most important resource and our success is dependant upon each of us doing a good job. This ultimately leads to providing the best service we can for our passengers.
Our training and development programme is driven by the standards required by the national investors in people scheme. We are committed to developing our staff and delighted that being given this award has recognized that.
The well known UK IiP standard helps us to show our commitment to making sure that our people have the right knowledge, skills and motivation to work efficiently. It is a way of recognizing the importance of each member of staff and helping people to develop their potential and gain greater job satisfaction.’
