How Is The Ulsterbus Strategic Review Being Implemented?
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review is a long term project with the central aim of creating an efficient, modern, reliable and integrated network of services by reviewing and redesigning the network and aiming to serve key market segments, customers, stakeholders and public policy. The review is a complex project that will take place over three years using an area-by-area approach. As the review of each area is completed, a section will be added to our site for you to view changes that shall be implemented.
What does the Review entail?
The Project commenced with the Goldline Working Group building on the success of recent Goldline enhancements which have been implemented. These have lead to an increase of 20% in passenger growth in less than two years.
To carry out the Ulsterbus Strategic Review, a number of working groups have been established to carry out a large number of analytical and planning tasks which will support the Review.
In parallel to the Goldline planning, a timetable has been agreed for the complete re-organisation of all other Ulsterbus services throughout Northern Ireland. This will involve the ‘grouping’, where possible, of all services into particular categories, such as:
- Town services
- Inter-Urban services
- Key County services
- Rural services
- School services
The area-by-area approach is the most practical and systematic way of completing the Review.
