Newtownards and Comber also benefited from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review following the implementation in September 2007. Changes include:
- Standardised modern route network designed to meet customer needs.
- Accessible low floor vehicles.
- A more regular and frequent bus service.
July 2007
Newcastle, Downpatrick, Carryduff and Donaghadee were the fifth areas to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review following the implementation in July 2007. The changes include:
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review has been successfully implemented in this area and has been well received by passengers and local stakeholders. February 2007
The Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry areas were the fourth areas to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review. The reviewed and enhanced services were implemented from February 2007.
- Simplified and standardised modern route network, designed to meet customers needs.
- Low floor accessible vehicles.
- A more regular and frequent bus service.
- Simplfied clock face timetables to ease understanding.
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review has been successfully implemented in this area and has been well received by passengers and local stakeholders. November 2006
The Dungannon, Omagh and Enniskillen areas were the third areas to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review. The reviewed and enhanced services were implemented from November 2006. The changes include;
- Simplified and standardised modern route network, designed to meet customers needs.
- Low floor accessible vehicles.
- A more regular and frequent bus service.
The implementation has been well received by passengers and local stakeholders with improved Enniskillen Town services attracting 17% more passengers on board.
September 2006
The Derry City and Londonderry area services were the second areas to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review. The reviewed and enhanced services were implemented from September 2006. The changes include;
- The renaming of city services to Ulsterbus Foyle.
- A more regular and frequent bus services throught the day, with network extensions to Strathfoyle and Newbuildings.
- Improved integration with Goldline express services and the rail network.
- Extended frequencies on Sundays to meet shopping trends.
Londonderry and Derry City's new and improved services have been fully implemented. Resulting in an impressive 21% increase in patronage. April 2006
The Coleraine area became the first to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review. Refined and improved local services were implemented in the Coleraine area from 24th April 2006. This covered:
- Coleraine Town service.
- The ‘Triangle’ services of Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart.
- Key County services.
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review in the Coleraine area was successfully implemented and has been well received by passengers and local stakeholders, with passenger number increase of 10%.
